K.B. Sprague is a physicist who enjoys letting his mind wander beyond the confines of equations and into the realm of Fantasy. Strange physics has always interested him and that ultimately comes out in his creations. After all, Fantasy involves just about the strangest “physics” imaginable.
Born in small-town Northern Ontario, Kevin developed a curious mind and a true appreciation of the natural world. He spent much of his youngest years alongside his father hunting, trapping, fishing, camping, prospecting and surveying. Kevin went on to attend McMaster University and the University of Western Ontario, earning a Ph.D. in applied mathematics and theoretical physics. Summer work terms still kept him grounded in the North though, spent working in a uranium mine and mineral prospecting camps. Upon graduating, he put his skills to use as a researcher in the natural resources sector and later in the defense sector.
Kevin is an avid writer in his field having published in top physics, medical, and computational journals, the geosciences and defense. After six years in the making, his debut epic fantasy is set for release (September, 2016); SPARX Incarnation marks the first thread of the multi-layered sci-fi/fantasy saga, SPARX.
